Meeting the Tokyoite
Focused, still, or always in motion. Framed by daily routines, occasional surprises, and the spaces they inhabit.
From above...
Elevated paths span a sea of distant actions — one can only have a small glimpse beneath a false sense of control.
...and below
Now looking upward, silent geometries still bathe in sun, drawing the sky and casting shadows from above.
Night life
Enshadowed with tungsten glow, a quiet pulse duets with an electric one as people wrap up the day.
Time for a trip
None are mandatory — during a week, Kawaguchiko and Nikkō slowed days for shrines, lakes, and peaks to emerge.
Let's ride
Wheels spinning, swiftly passing by — challenging silhouettes with only an instant to share with the shutter.
When the rain begins to fall
Umbrellas bloom under soft skies — while surfaces shimmer, movement narrows, and attires mute.
Shelters to rest
Impromptu or well-planned — corners of calm between outings, where moments settle and breath returns.
Prepping for lights out
A one-of-a-kind gift to myself — buzzing crowds, roaring in anticipation as machines prepare to stretch their legs.
Sinking into the scene...
Of wider canvases, inviting the gaze to slow, and thoughts to soften into the atmosphere.
...and lingering in fragments
Moving closer and focusing on sharper details no less vivid than their wider counterparts.
Fin.

Thanks
Those three months were really special to me. I'm proud of myself for taking on the challenge this trip was and grateful I was able to.
I hold some special thanks to the people I shared parts of this journey with: Jules, Rio, Nicolas, Dareel, Amaury, Anthony, Ubugeeei, Ota, Sapphi, Julien, Alvaro, Mireia, and Alex.
